Cambodia Gambling Halls

There is an appealing background to the Cambodia gambling halls that sit just over the border from next door Thailand, where gambling den gambling is not legal. Eight casinos are based in a generally small location in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This collection of Cambodia gambling halls is in an excellent area, a three to four hour drive from Bangkok and Macao, the two largest betting centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a thriving business with Thai blue-collar workers and guests from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a couple of Westerners. The amazing capital gained from the gambling dens ranges from seven and a half million dollars to more than 12.5 million, and there are a couple of restrictions requirements for gambling den ownership. Ownership is presumed to be mostly Thai; still, financing sources are ambiguous. The borders are officially open from 09:00 to 17:00, and though visas are supposedly needed to pass, there are methods and means around this, as is accurate of most borders.

The 1st Cambodia gambling dens opened in Phnom Penh in the mid nineties, but were required to close in 1998, leaving just one gambling hall in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, an anchored ship gambling hall, highlights 150 slot machines and sixty tables. The Naga gambling den is open all hours with 42 tables of mini-punto banco, four tables of vingt-et-un, ten of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and a single table each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The initial casino in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in the late nineties and the Golden Crown quickly followed. There are one hundred and fifty slot machines and 5 tables at the Golden Crown and 104 slots and sixty eight gaming tables at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features three hundred slot machine games and 70 table games and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has one hundred and sixty six one armed bandits and ninety six gaming tables, including eighty seven baccarat banque (the most dominant game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five one armed bandits and 66 of the normal table games, as well as one table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the eight casinos in Poipet, also a part of a hotel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slots and 97 games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in an international resort and hotel building that highlights a number of comforts accompanying the gambling den, which has 10,000 square feet of 130 one armed bandits and 88 tables.
